About me

Welcome to Soul Intention

My Story

I’m Aly Halvorson, founder and Life Coach behind Soul Intention Life Coaching, and I believe everything we desire starts from within our bodies.
For most of my life, I carried an internal pain that I couldn’t name. On the outside, I looked like I had it together, but inside I felt unworthy of love, acceptance, and belonging. I tried to earn it by performing, pleasing, and over-giving, hoping that if I did enough for others, maybe I’d finally feel whole. But no matter how much validation I collected, something was always missing. I was disconnected from myself, from my own body, my own truth, and the deep well of love within me.

More about me

My healing journey didn’t start in a therapy office. It began in the messy, real-life moments that cracked me open.
When my daughter was unexpectedly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, our world shifted overnight. I had to learn how to be steady for her, to regulate my own emotions so I could help her regulate hers. That wasn’t something that came naturally to me, but it was the first time I began to see the link between my nervous system and my ability to show up for the people I love.
Not long after, I suddenly lost my mom. Her death broke me in ways I couldn’t put into words, but it also peeled back layers I’d been hiding behind for years. I grieved her deeply, but I also grieved the version of myself I only knew through her eyes. That loss became a turning point, forcing me to face my shadows and question who I wanted to be without her.
Then came the end of my 11-year marriage. It was painful and humbling, and it asked me to take full accountability for how I had been showing up in my relationship. In the process, I also learned to honour the way I am treated, to recognize that my needs, feelings, and boundaries are just as important as anyone else’s.
Single parenting pushed me to find new strength, clarity, independence and to show up for my children in ways I had never been shown growing up. Through co-parenting, I learned about boundaries, mutual respect, and letting go of the need to control.

One of the most profound shifts in my journey came when I began to understand relational attachment, how the ways we connect (or protect) in relationships are shaped by our earliest experiences. Recognizing my own attachment patterns helped me see why I reacted the way I did in love, parenting, and friendships. It gave me compassion for myself, and it showed me the path to creating safer, more secure connections, with others and with myself.
Somewhere in all of this, I turned toward myself in a way I never had before. I began listening to my body. I noticed the tightness in my chest when I felt unsafe, the way my breath changed when I was triggered, the softness that came when I felt truly seen. I discovered somatic healing, a way of working through the body rather than just talking about my pain.
This opened the door to my inner child, the small, tender part of me who had been waiting decades for love, safety, and care. I learned to meet her with compassion, to hold her through fear, and to give her the things she’d been searching for outside of herself. That work didn’t just change me, it anchored me.
Now, body-based healing and attachment awareness aren’t just parts of my life, they are at the heart of my work. I guide clients to reconnect with their bodies, understand their attachment patterns, build safety from the inside out, and gently uncover the parts of themselves that have been hidden or hurting.
My coaching isn’t just from a textbook. It’s born from lived experience, from loss, from parenting through crisis, from heartbreak, and from the slow, steady work of coming home to myself. I know what it’s like to feel broken. I also know it’s possible to heal, grow, and live in a way that feels deeply true.
This is my soul’s intention — to walk beside you as you find yours.

My Approach

As an ICF Trained Certified Life Coach (International Coaching Federation), I guide individuals on a journey of self-discovery, personal growth, and empowerment, not just through the mind, but through the body and in connection with others. My passion is helping you reconnect with your inner child, heal old attachment wounds, and rediscover your soul’s purpose so you can create a life that feels authentic, joyful, and deeply meaningful.
I believe our bodies hold the stories of our lives, carrying emotions, memories, and protective patterns that began in our earliest relationships. Often, these patterns were formed to keep us safe, but over time, they can keep us feeling stuck, disconnected, or unworthy. Through relational attachment work, we explore how your earliest bonds shape the way you connect today, and we begin to create new, healthier patterns of safety, trust, and connection.
At the heart of my work is creating a safe and compassionate space where every part of you is welcome. When the body feels safe in relationship, it naturally begins to soften and release what has been held for too long. This is where body-based practices come in, helping you slow down, notice what’s alive inside you, and meet it with curiosity and care.
My approach blends body awareness, relational healing, and mindset coaching with practical tools to help you cultivate clarity, confidence, and alignment with your soul’s deepest desires. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, seeking deeper connection in relationships, or wanting to feel more grounded and whole, I’m here to walk alongside you, holding space for both who you are now and who you are becoming.
